Muted lavender and coloured foil meet through gradual transitions, bringing together a soft matte field and a richly textured metallic surface. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the foil shifts between olive and warmer gold tones, continually changing its relationship with the quieter monochrome.
As the foil changes colour and intensity, the mood of the work shifts with it; at times warmer and more expressive, at others quieter and more restrained. Moving around the work becomes part of the experience, allowing different impressions and feelings to develop through viewing.
