Artist Profile
George Papageorgiou is using form, light and shade to initiate dialogues through abstraction.
Working with acrylics, plaster, metallic pigments and mixed media, he creates original textured paintings that explore the relationship between material, texture and process through an evolving visual vocabulary.
His work develops through a balance between intention and discovery, allowing each painting to evolve beyond its initial direction while retaining a coherent artistic identity across multiple ongoing series. Rather than prescribing meaning, his paintings create space for dialogue, connection and individual interpretation.
The bodies of work are organised into a number of ongoing series, each developing its own identity while contributing to a coherent body of work.
George lives and works in London, United Kingdom.
