Confluence

Confluence explores how individual forms come together to create a unified whole.

Built through layers of plaster, acrylic and metallic pigments, each work develops gradually, allowing texture, colour and light to interact as the surface evolves.

Rather than depicting recognisable subjects, the textured forms remain intentionally open to interpretation. They may evoke geological formations, flowing landscapes, natural processes or entirely personal associations, inviting each viewer to construct their own reading of the work.

Negative space is as important as the textured relief itself. The relationship between the two creates rhythm, balance and movement, while the metallic surfaces respond continuously to changing light, subtly altering the character of each painting throughout the day.

Although every painting shares the same visual language, each develops its own atmosphere through colour, composition and the unique interaction of materials. Together they form an ongoing exploration of connection, accumulation and transformation.
