Practice Statement

My practice is rooted in abstraction, where material, texture and process shape an evolving visual vocabulary that initiates dialogue and expresses connections.

Rather than illustrating predetermined concepts, each painting develops through an intuitive interaction between intention, medium and process, allowing the work to evolve beyond its initial idea

Painting allows me to express experiences, character and personal taste through a visual vocabulary unrestricted by words alone. It gives me the freedom to explore ideas and emotions while leaving space for discovery throughout the creative process. Rather than defining meaning, it creates space for the audience to engage, connect and interpret.

Every painting begins with an idea, never with a fixed outcome. As medium, texture and process interact, the work gradually develops its own identity, often taking me beyond my initial expectations.

That balance between intention and discovery remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my practice, while retaining the way I choose to work and express myself.

Each series develops its own identity while remaining part of the same evolving visual vocabulary. Together they form a coherent body of work, where different materials, techniques and processes become different expressions of the same underlying artistic practice, each adding a new perspective while remaining connected to the whole.

Ultimately, my work is not concerned with directing interpretation but with creating the conditions for dialogue. Each painting remains open to the audience, inviting engagement, connection and interpretation through the experience of the work itself.
